OPERATING MANUALS

These may not all be the newest versions, but they give an idea of what to expect from equipment of this type.

Typical portable flue gas analyser for oxygen, carbon monoxide and nitric oxide with external printer. A low-range combustion gas analyser.FLUE GAS ANALYSER GA-20

This type of flue gas analyser is used for standard efficiency testing and ensuring that combustion equipment is working correctly. Combustion efficiency is probably one of the most interesting factors for large-scale users of fuel. This is one of the major cost-factors in many industries and changes in combustion effiiciency are a good guide to changes in the state of the equipment.

RS232C Communication Protocol

Many pieces of equipment are nowadays capable of being remotely controlled or, at least, remotely read. The RS232C protocol is probably the most commonly used system for this purpose. A slightly changed code is the RS485 protocol. This allows a number of instruments or devices to be connected together and be equipped with an address in the net which can be used for identification and communication.

Stationary Analyser maMoS-2 This is a stationary gas monitor, also known as a continuous emissions monitoring system. Designed for use with two sensors. Often employed as oxygen gas analyser and carbon monoxide gas analyser in larger installations. Used either as a process gas analyser or combustion gas analyser where needed.

The gas monitor serves a slightly different function to a flue gas analyser. Gas monitors are generally used for production control or permanent observation of a system.
